Along with the research and development of the solar cell, more and more photo- electricity transformation material has been taken much attention, which is cheap and has high efficient. As a kind of non-toxic, environmental protection photoelectric material, SnS has showed its extensive prospect of the application for its latent photo-electricity characteristic.The visible light absorption coefficient of SnS is higher than 104cm-1 and it matches the solar radiation very well. So it is extremely suitable to be taken as the light absorption layers in the solar cell. SnS thin film was successfully prepared by chemical bath in this thesis, the anneal processing in vacuum and the surface modification by low-temperature plasma on SnS thin film were used to improve the properties of photo-electricity. The main conclusions have been drawn as follows:(1) The surface of the SnS thin films prepared by chemical bath is quite smooth, assuming the mesh multiple punching structure;The result of XRD examination indicates that SnS thin film prepared by this method is of orthorhombic and polycrystal structure.(2) All the SnS thin films prepared in the experiment have high absorption coefficient within the entire visible light wave band scope. when the wave length of the incident light is smaller than 500nm,αreaches to 105cm-1and gradually increases along with the reduction of wave length.(3) After carring anneal processing in vacuum, the crystal grain changes quite full, the crystallization condition becomes better, the diffraction peak turns stronger, the orientation is according to qualification more obvious; The structure of the film is more homogeneous and it grows in uniform phase obviously; The absorption coefficient falls slightly.(4) The surface modification by low-temperature plasma has an extremely big influence to the SnS thin film. It not only can change the ingredient proportion and adjust the energy gap of the thin film, but also can change the surface texture of the thin film which reduces the reflection of the incident light.The research of SnS membranous material in this article has a certain reference value, but there is still much work for people to take further discussing. We believe that the SnS membranous material must be able to raise a new chapter of photo-voltaic industry in the soon future.
