Design And Development Of Terminal Software Based On Embedded GIS

The current GIS technology,in addition to its own characteristics,also including the technology of graphic images,databases,Internet,virtual reality, artificial intelligence and other new technology,is in a more important position nowadays,and its development is much concerned.Especially in recent years,with the development of computer technology,GIS technology is in a rapid period of development.With the rapid development of embedded technology,Embedded GIS is a new branch of geographic information technology development,also is a research focus.In this paper,Embedded GIS related technology is introduced at first,and the current research and the development is analyzed and studied as well.In consideration of meeting the need of geologists in field study and combining the basic functionality of GIS software,GPRS & GPS technology and image capture are integrated into the Embedded GIS software.Embedded GIS as whole system design,which includes the design of hardware platform and software system development.In this paper,on the one hand,brief descriptions of the hardware platform are addressed,and meanwhile detailed analysis and development of some kinds of interface types are given.On the other hand,this paper focuses on the development of software system.The main work includes analysis of the GIS basic function and design of Embedded GIS software and hardware.Some key ideas and solutions proposed to solve listed issues in the latter part of this paper are implemented in practical development,which achieves satisfactory result.
