In recent years, great progress has been made in natural gas exploration in deep zones at Xujiaweizi area, northern Songliao basin. The gas exploration in the Daqing Oil Field has entered a strategic breakthrough period as the geologists pay more attention to the deep zones and with gas-bearing fields being constantly found in deep volcanic zones.The thesis focuses on the volcanic rock reservoir characterization of the Shengshenggeng2 well. We denominated the lithology of drill core based on the core description and thin section analysis. We divided the volcanic rock into three volcanic phases in the light of characteristic of lithologic character and electric property, and raised the mode of volcanic phase, and then evaluated comprehensively the volcanic rock reservoir of drill core with two groups gas zone.The study of reservoir physical property includes analyse of poro sity, permeability and pore structure. We believe that the Shengshenggeng2 well has middle and high porosity, low permeability, and we classify the pore structure synthetically.There are holes and splits with the reservoir pore space, and there are mainly hole-kind and hole-split-kind assemblage of pores and splits. Judging from the thin section analysis, we analyze synthetically the reservoir diagenesis, classify the diagenetic phase, and analyze the effect of the diagenesis on the evolution of reservoir pore space.The logging parameter mainly includes porosity, permeability and saturability. We discussed the procedure of lithologic discrimination and method study of reservoir physical property.Shengshenggeng2 well has much more II kind and III2 kind reservoir, and a few I kind and III1 reservoirs according to the lava gas-reservoir valuation standard. The II kind and a few I kind reservoirs among them are beneficial to the Shengshenggeng2 well.
