| Obtaining ocean wave information from radar images is discussed in this paper. Based on radar wave meter's operating process and obtained data's characteristics, some methods is studied here for calculating ocean wave parameters and controlling data quality. A systemic soft is produced to analyze and calculate radar image materials. The contents in this paper mainly include three aspects: some methods to deduce ocean wave from radar images; controlling data quality methods for radar wave meter; result data's analysis and description. In order to for deduce wave information by radar images, a method is proposed to recognize radar signal's energy concentricity, by which the calculating region is selected automatically, therefore accurate signal source can be obtained. In addition, a iterative filtering method is given to remove abnormal data effectively, which improves the accuracy for deducing current. The method, which is based on ocean wave frequency dispersion relation and Fourier transformed radar signal energy distribution, is applied to pick up ocean wave signal effectively.
