Since the semiconductor laser performance obtains a significant breakthrough and the fiber loss decreased enormously,the optical fiber communication entered the practical commercialization times.Optical fiber transmission has also become the major means of communication,particularly in the trunk communication network.Along with the development of optical fiber communication technology,its security performance is being concerned more and more.The break-though of optical fiber chaotic secure communications technology will bring about revolutions on secure communications,it will certainly to the privacy communication application,in particular in the military secure communication have an important impact.In this paper,the principle of chaos and chaos synchronization of semiconductor lasers are introduced,the characteristics of chaotic secure telecommunication have been investigated numerically.First,the development status quo and prospect of optical fiber chaotic and chaos also chaos synchronization are discussed.Second,the dynamic theoretical model of optical injection, optical feedback,and optoelectronic feedback semiconductor laser,especially the delayed feedback laser,are analyzed based on the theoretical models used to describe the dynamics of semiconductor laser,also the chaotic optical communication in free space were numerically analyzed.Finally,in order to supply a necessary theory base for optical fiber chaotic communication,the influences of the chromatic dispersion and nonlinearity in fiber on the chaos and chaotic synchronization have been investigated based on the theoretical models used to describe the optical fiber chaotic communication system.It has crucial important reference value and the guiding sense to the practical chaos synchronous communication's establishment and the maintenance.
