The plasma is usually called as the fourth material condition, the other three states are solid state, liquid state and gaseous state.Low temperature plasma has extremely wide prospect in industry application. At present, most researches are about producing plasma by DBD (Dielectric Barrier Discharge) under atmosphere. However, the effect of which is directly related to the voltage, frequency and wave form of power source. The voltage and the frequency are higher, the effect of discharge is better. According to this characteristic, we have developed a kind of high frequency power source which is of high frequency and high voltage. Based on this, we analyzed discharge pattern and wave form of discharge characteristic by DBD. Also we studied three factors which affected DBD. Finally, with experiment, we studied two kinds of application in industry of DBD as well.For power supply, we designed through invariable AC input, after being commutated into DC, then inverted AC through IGBT, realized the output of high frequency high voltage sinusoidal wave through inductor to leach wave and high frequency transformer to elevate voltage at last. On the other hand, DSP is protecting the whole system except to control the IGBT. For output circuit part, we mainly researched the improvements of high voltage and frequency power supply, produced U shape and ring shape high frequency transformers which are made from different material and different specifications.We made use of CCD, wave form collecting and data analysis in DBD research process to make a comparative analysis of discharge pattern, discharge wave form among dentation electrode,parallel electrode,coaxial electrode and sharp edges electrode made by our own. We also studied three factors: gas gap distances,air-current speed and applied voltage which affected DBD and obtained a series of results.During the research process of DBD, we studied two kinds of applications in industry through experiments. 1. Studies on the Surface Modification to Carbon Fibers using DBD, for get the better adhesion with the cement. 2,Reform the steam of the ethanol with DBD in order to produce hydrogen and got a series of primary results.
