Daxigou gold deposit is one of important gold deposits found recently in the north of Heibei Province. Fengning-Longhua deep fracture directly controls the distributing of igneous rocks and volcanic rocks, and a series of sub-faults, forming favorable structural condition of gold mineralization.The geological study data is much less. Based on the works of predecessors, with comprehensive field observation, gathering geological information, collecting lots of rock and ore samples, application of modern petrology, mineral deposit geology, geochemistry, Mineralogy, isotope geology and other theories and methods, seriously study the geological characteristics of gold deposit (including ore body shape, occurrence, mineralization type, lithology characteristics of ore-body and wall-rock, characteristics of mineralogy and wall-rock alteration and so on); Firstly analyse the evolution of mining area faults,the ore-controlling significance of faults,ore-controlling factors and the relationship of stratigraphy, structure, magmatic rocks and mineralization, conclude the mineralization regular; obtain preliminary understanding on the genesis, and establish the deposit model according to analysis on minerals, ore-forming fluids, as well as ore-forming heat.The major points described as follows:1. Confirmed that Daxigou deposit is a quartz vein-metasomatite type, with middle scale ;2. Mineralization are mainly related to silisification, pyritization and potassium alteration.,the size and amount of pyrite is the direct signs of prospecting, but silicified rocks and quartz veins are indirect signs;3. Gold mineralization is related to porphyritic granites and late Mesozoic Yanshan acid dykes, the mineralized zone are strictly controlled by NE striking clastic altered zones , and the ore-bodies distribute in form of geese-arranged;4. The ore-forming materials are originated from the magmatites and metamorphic rocks of Hongqiyingzi Group, the fluid is from magmatic water mixed with meteoric water, and heating of ore bodies comes from magma;5. The deposit is a typical meso-epithermal magmatic gold deposit related to continental sub-volcanism.
