In general relativity theory, graviton is the massless tensor particle, which results in gravitation action in proportion to the energy. But it can not applied in self-interaction between gravitons. In the paper whether or not the graviton is the candidate of the dark matter (DM) and dark energy (DE) is discussed by calculating interactional potential energy of graviton.The candidate of DM and DE must possess attributes followed: First, there are large numbers of them in the universe; second, it must take part in gravitational action and mustn't join in strong and electromagnetic action. For DE, we require its inter-action is different from "normal matter", i.e. it's repulsion. For graviton, it is satisfied with the two attributes. If our calculating result shows the self-interaction is repulsion, graviton is the probable candidate of DM and DE.In this paper, the interactional potential energy of graviton is simply discussed in tree level approximation. A great many of new physics phenomena appear in the final results. If it is credible, it will probably bring new prospect for universal evolvement.
