The Yellow Rriver estuarine is commonly dominated by benthic species, which are important factors in changing the sedimentary conditions. The basis of Yellow River estuary sediment is silt. The distribution of the species are differences and induce the sediment property are differences. Based on the investigation of the study areas and the lab research. The approaches research as follows: (1) The study of the distribution of the species in the Yellow River estuary and the influence of the bioturbation on the sediment property. (2) Comparison of the sediment permeability with the region of crab disturbance and without crab disturbance on the study site. (3) Comparison of the sediment permeability with the region of crab disturbance and without crab disturbance on the lab.The study suggest the crab activities increases water content and conductivity of sediments, but decrease penetration strength within 30cm of the surface sediments and increase penetration strength below 30cm.The crab activities induce the sediment permeability with bioturbation larger than without bioturbation sediment permeability and the sediment horizontal permeability larger than the sediment vertical permeability on the typical study sites. The bioturbation influence the sediment resistivity character. The fake-resistivity of the bioturbation zone higher than non-bioturbation zone. The crab activities make the fake-resistivity complicated. The model study on the lab suggested that the crab activities increases the sediment permeability and decrease the pore water press cumulate.
