With regard to the whole ocean bulk, it could be supposed that the heat quantity into the sea and out of it at the surface is approximately equal if the condition is not very strict. However, from the local viewpoint , only the four terms including the solar radiation, significant radiation of the sea surface, the latent heat fluxes and the sensible heat fluxes are not balanced. The variation of air-sea heat fluxes have important influence on heat exchange between ocean and atmosphere, and greatly affects the heat diffusion of cooling in local area.Base on previous studies on air-sea heat fluxes, the characteristics of latent heat and sensible heat flux in the Chinese continental shelf sea are analysed by use of reanalysis data. They all show obvious seasonal variation and spatial variation traints. Moreover, the heat fluxes at the epeiric Xiangshan Port sea area is calculated by the method proposed by Shi(2004).During the calculation, the relative humidity ,wind speed, and air-sea temperature difference in clear sky were considered . Finally, the heat fluxes value was obtained. After the calculation of heat flux, the diffusion from cooling water was simulated by a numerical model-ECOMSED. Results from the model and observation were compared and analysed . It shows that the simulated current field from ECOMSED is accurate, and could reflect the true characteristics. If considering rationally the influence of air-sea heat fulux on diffusion, the model results are close to the observations. At the same time,it also shows that the diffusion from cooling water is affected by both of tidal current and heat flux.In horizontal direction, the suiface diffusion of cooling water take on different trend as flood or ebb. Vertically, the suiface diffusion area is greater than bottom area.
