The paper summarizes a new design of the ultrasonic flow (five parameters) combination toolfor injection profile logging, the inspection for its every technical parameters and field test.The logging tool breaks through the existed technique bottlenecks when using ultrasonic tomeasure flow. By using the newest phase-locked ring technique it can realize sonic signalsacquisitions. The flow plateau is designed and determined, so the tool can achieve theapproximate linear output. Mechanical structure of the flow channel and centralizer aredesigned. The way of zero flow acquisition is finished. The way and construction technologyof ultrasonic flow measurement are generalized. The tool's performance, such as temperatureand stability, is improved by designing sound circuit such as temperature, pressure, gammaray, casing collar locator and telemetry transmission driving circuitand applying thick-filmtechnique. From the aspects of software and hardware, a electrify reset circuit is designed toensure the tool work stable and reliable. By designing a choking screen assembly the tool'spower supply and signal-to-noise ration can be assured. The combination tool's power supplyis also designed. By the means of pre-stabilized voltage supply, the tool's power currentundulation can be reduced. By the means of traction, the abnormal excessive power voltage iseffectively distributed, thus can protect the tool and decrease the damage. The pressurecorrection methods are also done and thus can avoid the affect of temperature changing onpressure. For the tool's four telemetry transmission parameters a SCM 89c2051 with smallvolume and soft coding technique is adopted to lessen the circuit dimension and therefore thereliability and stability of the system can be improve. The combination tool achievesconvenient matching connection by applying single core cable, digital transmissiontechnology and standard Manchester Code. This research program has been validated byin-house calibration test and field test. All the technical characteristics of the tool measure upto the research demands. The combination tool's performance is stable and reliable. It canrecord casing collar signal accurately and precisely reflect the information such astemperature, pressure, gamma-ray and flow-rate in the separate injection well. It realizes themeasurement of the fluid flow in the well with ultrasonic, hence can increase the well loggingsuccess ratio.
