A technique that is used to test the signal in the spatial polarization encoding is studied. The composing and design principle of a spatial polarization encoding system are described. According to the practical application of the system and the design characteristic of the spatial polarization encoding system, the experimental device of the coding system is set up. The device is made up of optical system and coding circuit. The existing testing method of the polarized light is thoroughly studied. According to the characteristic of the spatial polarization encoding device ahead, an appropriate method of getting linear polarized light is designed. And the experimental device is improved so as to more approach the practical application. The photoelectric converter is also widely studied and compared, According to the category of laser in the practical application, an appropriate photoelectric converter is chosen so as to decrease the loss of the energy in the light signal. The emphasis of the paper is to design the coding circuit. A single chip microcomputer is used as the core chip in the circuit. The software and hardware of the system is designed. Preamplifier, A/D converter, data processing and driving step motor are done. In the condition of laboratory, optical system and coding circuit are integrated. The result indicates that the project of the signal testing system in the spatial polarization encoding is feasible.
