The Taxonomy Studies On Monogenea From Fishes Of The Yellow Sea And The Bohai Sea, China

This paper deals with 31 species of monogeneas collected from the gills ofmarine fishes of the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea during 2004 to 2006. Among these,they are belong to 25 genera of 10 families. The 1 species is new to science, 1 genusand 6 species are new records in China, moreover, there are 9 new host records and 5species undetermined. 95 species of marine fishes were samples, which of 35.8% wereinfected with monogeneas. All the speciments are deposited in the Department ofBiology, South China Normal University.New species and new records are as follows:New species: Dactylogyrus longkouensis sp.nov.Host: Iusha elongate (Bennett)Locality:LongkouThe anchor of this species is Dactylogyrus falcatus type, which is similar to theshape of Dactylogyrus curvicirrus Achmerow, 1952, Dactylogyrus aciculusLong,1981, Dactylogyrus peculioris Gussev, 1955, Dactylogyrus achmerowi Gussev, 1955,but differs from the structure of the cirrus. The species parasited on marisne fish, butothers are on fresh fishes.New records: Prosomicrocotyla n.rec Kuhnia scombri n.rec Kuhnia minor n.rec Axine sasikala n.rec Microcotyle sebastisci n.rec Microcotyle gimpo n.rec Prosomicrocotyla gotoi n.recAs a result of research, it was known that the fauna of monogeneas from themarine fishes of the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea was just as well as that of theSouth China Sea and the East China Sea, which have many common genuses. But itindicates that the faunal components of monogeneas of the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea are mainly Mazocraeidae and Microcotylidae, and that of the South China Sea andthe East China Sea are mainly Ancyrocephalidae. In addition, the Yellow Sea and theBohai Sea has special genus and species, which are the same to the Japan Sea. Itmaybe they are abuted and exist fishes migration.
