| The andalusite mineral resources are fairly abundant and have superior minerogenetic conditions in Southern Tianshan Mountains, Xinjiang. The andalusite ore in Suketagenengeken of Kolar is mainly discussed in the paper. The author puts emphasis on analyzing and probing into genetic characteristics and mineral material applications of andalusite. And its studies are beneficial for broadening application fields of andalusite, and have established the definite foundations for developing and utilizing andalusite ore better. At the same time a great number of important realistic meanings are studied in order to strengthen geological prospect further and promote sustainable development of mining industry economy of this area.Andalusite in Southern Tianshan Mountains has mainly been carried on the following studies in the paper.First of all, the basic characteristics of andalusite mineral are generalized, including the mineral makes-up, the mineral characteristics, the craft mineralogy characteristics and main characteristics of andalusite.Secondly, the geological characteristics of andalusite mining area are systematically recommended and analyzed, including the constructing position, the mineral stratum, the area constructing and magmatic rock on the earth. Furthermore, conclusion has been drawn that the deposit genesis of andalusite is the typically contact metamorphism type.Thirdly, the geological characteristics of andalusite deposit are explained and analyzed again, including the geological background of origin-forming deposit, the ore body characteristics, the ore characteristics, the ore mineral characteristics, the genetic characteristics of deposit and ore-controlling factors.In the end, the applications trend of andalusite mineral material are studied and analyzed. What is more, the basic characteristics and refractory material surtax indexes of andalusite material mineral in Xinjiang are mainly experimentally analyzed.
