We study the friction of the motion of a particle on the rough incline. Both experimental and computer simulation method are used to research the characteristics of stopping situation of a particle in different experimental conditions. The tendency of simulation results are mainly accord with the experimental results. It helps us to understand the law of energy dissipation on a rough surface. It is found that sliding friction between continuous medium and granular materials has the novel speciality of quasi-periodsoscillatory.According to the characteristic of shearing dilatancy in granular materials,we reseach the novel phenomenon in this paper. We put forward a physical model to explain the experiment results and give an equation about average density oscillating in an effective region.Furthermore,we elicit a function about sliding friction. The theoretical results accord with the experimental results.
