The date of lightning localization have the extremely vital role in the scientific research andthe practical application, such as the division of lightning disaster region, the appraisal oflightning disaster and lightning early warning forecast and so on.. The lightning locationnetwork in the whole country under construction, has not totally built up yet. Every province isstill at the beginning stage in the use of the data. Looking from the service condition, the dataalso has the obvious distance to the actual use. This article analysis the dates of Jiangsu lightninglocation net and composed of six chapters.In the first chapter, introduced the lightningtechnology developing process and the people are enhancing the progress which the lightninglocalization quality aspect obtains. In Chapter 2, technology and principle.of lightninglocalization. In Chapter 3, the lightning localization algorithm and lightning location system ofADTD have been introduced. In Chapter 4, The data of lightning monitor localization frommeteorology department of Jiangsu have been analyzed mainty using the data of lightinglocalization of power department of Jiangsu and meteorology department of Anhui,and data ofthunder days from Jiangsu,during august 26—September 26,2005, shows that from thedistribution of time and space, the lighting data have a better consistency with two other lightingdata and the differences of the average of peak current were obvious among the three department.In Chapter 5, The electromagnetic wave is interfered with and weaken in the path of propagation.The lightning location system to the lightning which can survey has certain request of value ofelectric current. Leaving the TDF the distance more near, the detected current value smaller,distance farther, value bigger. Namely leaving the TDF nearer, detection efficiency higher,distance farther, the detection efficiency lower.This article according to the above the concepthas carried on the analysis to each nine TDF of Jiangsu meteorological bureau's lightninglocation system, finally demonstrated a incompletely same conclusion with the above concept,including five TDF just right opposite. Though other four TDF overall is consistent, disparity isrelatively great after further analyzing. Therefore, actually result of the material analysis and theabove and many articles mentioning conclusion, which leaving the TDF is nearer, detectionefficiency is higher, distance farther, the detection efficiency lower are incompletely consistent.In the last chapter, the remain problems in my opinion are pointed out and a tentative plan forthe future study is outlined.
