Method Research And Practice Of Land Use/Cover Monitoring Based On RS And WebGIS

Based on the request of application in land use layout, the system of land utilization/cover information monitoring and issuing has been realized by combining the powerful function of RS and WebGIS taking Taizhou city in Zhejiang Province for instance. Main research contents of this article are as follows:1) Image pretreatment research. The accuracy and precision of land utilization/cover surveying, mainly including geometry adjustment, image enhancement and image fusion, is to some extent decided by the pretreatment process of image;2) Assistant research on multi-source data. Because of the few data in research area, others like DEM, on-the-spot investigation data (the GPS investigation sample), meteorological data etc. are used as assistance to improve classification precision;3) Classification method research. The remote sensing technology has become the important method to obtain land-utilization/land-cover information. Classification method, holding the important status in it, is directly relating to classification precision. Translation precision is mainly enhanced by visual interpretation as well as other classified methods.4) Analysis of concept, characteristic and development of WebGIS, and elaboration of its main realization, development platform and related technology;5) Analysis of ArcIMS principle. Its characteristics, system structure, composition, customer and connector choice are introduced. The operation is emphatically elaborated;6) Design and realization of land utilization/cover monitoring information system based on ArcIMS for Taizhou in Zhejiang Province. The system has been developed by means of ArcIMS as map development platform and land use/cover information spatial database, which realizes the browse, inquiry, analysis application of land use/cover.
