| In this paper, Qualitative analysis was given for two kinds of herbivore-plant model. One is herbivore-plant model with Beddington-DeAngelis functional response. The other is herbivore- plant model with density-mediated. We mainly discuss the existence of the positive equilibria and its stability. By using qualitative analysis, the bounded property of solution,the existence of limit cycle and the sufficient conditions for the existence of the positive equilibria are obtained. By contrasting two systems from many aspects, the conclusion that the two herbivore-plant systems are surprising similarity is established.
