On the basis of the theories of sedimentology, tectonics, paleoenvironmental evolution and the technology of geological remains between conservation and utilization etc. The author tries to make clear the formational principle of characteristic resource of Geological remains by tectonic setting of studied area, stratigraphic division, types of sedimentary facies and spreading characteristic of facies zone and so on in Jianmenguan Geoparks. At the same time, the author makes integrated evaluation for geological remains of studied area and designs the individual discrete reserve model of Geopark. The thesis has gained the following achievements:1. The basis of regional geology which is formed by exogenic geological process and endogenic geological process should be responsible for the characteristic danxia landform in Jianmenguan Geoparks. The research in detail exposure sites shows that the main control factor of unique geological remains scenic spots come from regional tectonic process (Longmenshan nappe structure) and spreading characteristic of facies zone (lake, delta, alluvial fan and fluvial depositional systems) between Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous, after that add to many kinds of geological process such as downcutting by rivers, dimorphism and so on.2. The integrated evaluation of geological remains by qualitative and quantitative method reveals the geological remains in Jianmenguan Geoparks are numerous, intensive, rare and fantastic.3. This study which bases on the characteristic of Geological remains and conservation existing condition, introduces into the concept of zoning and dividing classes and applies to discrete reserve model makes conservation aims and objects, then designs the individual reserve model of Geopark and specific conservation measures.
