Researches On Landscape Pattern Of Hangzhou Xixi Wetland

Xixi Wetland lies on Jiangcun county of Hangzhou City. It's one of the few urban fringe wetlands contains urban wetland, agriculture wetland and culture wetland. However, because of the long time and high strength exploitation of the agriculture, and the sudden infiltration of urban construction, Xixi Wetland has already been destroyed severely. The original landscape of wetland has disappeared for a long time. The wetland ecosystem becomes weaker and weaker, and the natural entironment goes worse and worse. Meanwhile, with the more and more strictly entironment pollution, the existence and sustainable development of Xixi Wetland are confronted with big challenge.The target of this research based on the status quo and transformation of Xixi Wetland landscape pattern is putting forward constructive opinion about the protection and recovery of the wetland. The research takes Landscape ecology as theoretical instruction and method, and satellitic remote sensing image as the source data. With the technology of Global Positioning System(GPS), Geographic Information System(GIS) and Remote Sensing(RS), Xixi Wetland landscape pattern will be classified systematically with some different period (1984, 1997, 2003, 2004, 2006) . After that, the landscape spatial structure will be evaluated, and the reason of landscape pattern transformation will be analyzing by measuring a series of landscape pattern indexes. Meanwhile, analysing the impact to Xixi Wetland landscape of execution of Xixi Wetland Integrated Protection will be done in this research. At last, bring forward optimum option to improve the landscape pattern under the combination of ecology tourism theory and sustainable tourism development theory. In particular, it's better to take into account the research on tourism environmental capacity for the exploitation and administration of tourism.With the results of this research, it makes clear that the dominated landscape of Xixi Wetland is the wetland and agriculture. And it has relatively higher degree of fragmentation because of the serious human disturbance. Among the past twenty years, the area of urban construction increased quite quickly. Oppositely, the acreage of water, infield and woodland decreased a lot. Coupled with the higher and higher degree of all classes of landscape fragmentation, the diversity and evenness of the overall landscape went on smaller. The execution of Xixi Wetland Integrated Protection optimized the wetland landscape pattern from some kind of extent. It mainly found expression in the expending of water and plants area, the reducing of urban construction, and the decreasing of the intrinsic mainly human disturbance such as urban construction and agriculture exploitation.
