In this thesis, the electromagnetic scattering from the inhomogeneous plasma- coated objects with the plane wave/Gaussian beam are examined. The reflectance of an inhomogeneous plasma-coated conducting plate and the scattering fields from inhomogeneous plasma-coated spheres/cylinders are discussed in detail. Meanwhile, the composite scattering characteristics of Gaussian beam by sphere-sphere pair/cylinder- cylinder pair are studied and the dependences of the Radar Scattering Section (RCS) on the parameters of the incident beam and the parameters of the plasma coating are also discussed. The numerical results show that the absorption of the electromagnetic wave is different for different distribution of the electron density of the inhomogeneous plasma coating. The absorption is the larger for the case of the parabola distribution than that of linear, Epstein distribution, while this absorption is the least for the case of the exponential distribution. At the last chapter of this thesis, an electromagnetic simulation soft (CST MWS), which is a computational package based on the Time Domain Integral Function Method, is introduced. And the scattering field of plane wave from the targets with complex shape, which are coated with non-uniform anisotropic plasma layer, is evaluated by employing the simulation software. The dependences of the scattering properties on the parameters of the incident wave and the parameters of the plasma are obtained with the plane wave incidence.
