Dielectric barrier discharge has been widely used in many fields which has a remarkable prospect. It has been usually studied with inert gases.A computer simulation model is developed in this thesis with oxygen as work gas. According to the simulation of motion of charged particles, it is concluded that the current of DBD is pulsed and the amount of electron is related to the dielectric and the electron energy is mostly low.Ozone synthesis is the most widely application of DBD. There are a lot of factors which have an effect on ozone synthesis using DBD. The effects of peak pulsed voltage, gas flow rate, discharge time, temperature, dielectric and electrodes gap on ozone synthesis are researched experimentally in this thesis. According to the analysis of data from experiments, it can be concluded that temperature has a deep effect on ozone synthesis, material of high dielectric constant and narrow electrodes gap are advantageous to ozone synthesis, voltage and gas flow rate have optimal values, which are 8000 Volt of voltage and 800ml/min of gas flow rate in the condition of this experiment.In the end, the computer simulation of DBD and the experiment of ozone synthesis are summarized. Some tasks are put forward which improve the simulation program and experiment of this thesis.
