In this paper, by systematic and random sampling method, the author investigated the flower-visiting insects in coniferous-decidous forest community, coniferous forest community, Betula ermanii forest community and alp tundra community of Changbai Mountain from 2004 to 2005, sampled the species and amounts of flower-visiting insects in different habitats, altitudes and months, and then listed these species. At first, the author analyzed the diversity of flower-visiting insect community with the methods of Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H,), Pielou uniformity index (J), Simpson predominance centralization index (C) and Margalef abundance index (E), the results are as follows.(1)In four communities, more than 1640 species of fower-visiting insect had been collected, which belong to 9 orders, 62 families, 179 genera and 251 species. Of the collected specimens, from the level of species to analyze, Diptera is the most, it is 29.88 percent, Hemiptera is the fewest of 4.38 percent, other orders account for the small proportion.(2)In different vertical climatic zones, the species composition and amounts of flower-visiting insect communities have some differences, the order that from many to few is as follows, coniferous-decidous mixed forest community, coniferous forest community, Betula ermanii forest community and alp tundra community.(3)Within the four indexes of flower-visiting insect community, H is consistent with J and E along with time changes and opposite to C approximately. The diversity index reduces from the low elevation to the high elevation, in four different communities, coniferous-decidous mixed forest community is the highest, alp tundra community is the lowest. Along with season changes, the order of diversity index of North Changbai Mountain from high to low is as follows, the end of July, the middle of Jul, the end of Jun, the middle of Jun, the middle of Aug, the beginning of Sep.(4)The results of similarity and clustering analysis demonstrate that the difference of similarity coefficients among flower-visiting insect communities in four communities is big. Similarity coefficient between the community of Betula ermanii forest community and Tundra community is the biggest, it is 0.3267, and coniferous forest community and Betula ermanii forest community is 0.3228. These results also indicate that the diversity of flower-visiting insect community is related to vegetation types in Changbai Mountain.Secondly, the author primarily researched the species of flower-visiting insects, settling times, frequencies and behaviors of visiting flowerers. During florescence (Jun, Aug), 75 species of flower-visiting insects were caught from 49 species of flowerers, which belong to Hymenoptera, Diptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hemiptera and Orthoptera, and the results are as follows.(1)The frequencies and behaviors are different when flower-visiting insects visiting different flowerers in different times and habitats. In Changbai Mountain, the flower-visiting...
