Firstly, the importance of X-ray diffraction single crystal structure analysis being as a breakthrough point, the basic formulas and the methods of X-ray diffraction and the data of diffraction have been simply introduced. And then, the extensive researches on the theory, crystal structures, characterizations and the applications of the reported hexa-Mo/W compounds have been discussed and classified. And in the core of this thesis, the syntheses, crystal structures and relevant characterizations of seven new Mo/W cluster compounds are presented, whose important crystal data summarized in Table 1.In the researches on crystal chemistry of triprismo cluster three carbon-centered triprismo-hexatungsten chlorides C@W6Cl16 1, C@W6Cl182 and C@W6Cl18-2(DMSO) 3 were synthesized and their crystal structures were determined by X-ray analyses. The principalbuilding blocks in 1, 2 and 3 are [(C@W6TPR Cl12ib.or.ip)Cl6a-a.or.a] cluster units. Six W atoms formtrigonal prismatic core centered by C atom. The trigonal basic edges are each capped by one Clib ligand and each prismatic edge is bridged by two Clip Hgands. Each W atom is additionally bonded to terminal Cla-a or Cla ligand. to form C@W6Cl16 1, C@W6Cl182, C@W6Cl18-2(DMSO) 3 clusters, respectively. In the crystal structure of 1 cluster are bonded to two outer CIa atoms as exo-ligands and are interconnected via four -Cla-a- bridging ligands to give two-dimensional puckered layers...
