Abstract/Summary:
The mineral resource is the vital part of natural, and it is the essential and basic material of human society development. With the economic development of our country, the mineral resource is more and more important in the national economy function. However, because of the drawbacks of management there are many problems existed in mineral resource of our country, such as the low use efficiency of recourse disposition. In order to solve these problems, the key strategy is to enhance the efficient management of mineral recourse.Geographic information system (GIS) is a kind of technology that is developing rapidly with development of computer science in the recent years. GIS is different from the traditional cartography, and manages and analyses the spatial data by using modern computer technology. It provides the basic platform for the management and evaluation system of mineral resource by integrating the spatial data. It improves the ability to deal with geosciences information, and provide important ways to manage mine explore and decision-making.This thesis used ActiveX components and Com components of ZhongDi corp. to make GIS system on geosciences data. The system is compiled in Visual Basic. It used control to provide with whole objects to join and embed and realize the management of the basic geologic data and the basic geographical data by computer.This thesis consists of three parts as follows:The first part consists of chapter one and chapter two. First, the paper simplely introduces the current management mode of mineral resource and put up the drawback of the current mineral resource management. The paper point out that mineral resource management by computer is the current trend and simplely introduces GIS and relative software.The second part consists of chapter three. It simplely presents spatial database and particularly discusses the design of this system. At first, it introduces the space data of characters, types and expressions. And then the paper introduces the substantial contents of spatial database structure design in this trial area and the design of relevant characteristic database. At last, it achieves the design of the management information system database by connecting spatial database to characteristic database.The third part consists of chapter four and chapter five. The paper put forward a new metadata classification method which is fit for the management of mineral resource and accomplish in general. Meanwhile, the paper designs a query mode which is fit for geology. It is convenient for the users to put and get the figure character and characteristic character through the system. The experienced users can perform the spatial analysis by the geologic data and geographic data which are provided by the system. Through the buffer analysis, the users can find out the abundant diggings.The paper combines the management mode of mineral resource and GIS technology through the system, and makes some progress.
