Tidal shoal's vegetation of the Yangtze River estuary change a lot every year because of man-made planting and the deposition and erosion in silt tidal flat. Repetitive observational ability of satellites, stabilization of sensor's parameter and series of aviation planning make the earth's surface's information recorded consecutively. Long time remote sensing datum collected to study remote sensing detection and spatio-temporal changes analysis of tidal shoal's vegetation in the Yangtze River estuary illustrated the spatio-temporal changes of vegetation, moreover offered varying datum to updating estuarine and coastal database, resource and environment variety, inversion of tidal flat displacement and altitude, so as to supervise the use of coastal land and construction of coastal engineering, etc.Jiuduansha and Chongming Dongtan wetland area in the Yangtze River estuary were choose as the research area in the article and Phragmites communis, Spartina alterniflora, Scirpus mariqueter, part of S. triqueter and Carex scabrifolia were choose as the research object. The main research contents were as follow:1 Portable ASD FieldSpec FR was used to measure the spectrum reflection of the predominant vegetation community in Chongming Dongtan and Jiuduansha wetland. Vegetation cover rate was recorded as well. The little scaled of living environment investigated of vegetation was mostly the underlying surfaces character such as humidity, the surface's salinity, etc. And the measurement wasaccording to plant transect and elevation gradient.2 Spectrum characteristic curve was accounted to analyze different kind of vegetation spectrum characters. Then different kind of typical vegetation spectrum characteristic parameter in the Yangtze River estuarine tidal flat was accounted and summarized to distinguish different vegetation kinds.3 Different kind of predominant vegetation VI and ameliorated index were accounted and discussed their advantage and disadvantage. Connection between vegetation index and vegetation cover rate was analyzed tidal flat vegetation sorted effect in the Yangtze River estuary in order to choose the better one which can distinguish vegetation genre more exactly. In the process some factors like atmosphere and season was considered. At last according to the measurement of tidal flat soil spectrum, the integrated analysis on underlying surface and vegetation spectrum, the more suitable remote sensing means of vegetation sort in estuary were found so as to enhance the precision with the remote sensing image.4 Based on the multi-temporal sorted result of satellite image, which was validated by fields research and airborne RS images ,the article analyzed vegetation changes of Jiuduansha shoal under both nature process and factitious interference...
