The function of the hydrogen-producing acetogen(HPA) directly effected the following activity of Methanogenic Bacteria (MB), however, it is really few to the physiological ecology of HPA. The microbial communities in anaerobic baffled reactor were analysed by PCR-Single-strand conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) in this text.The result showed that the structure of microbial communities did not varied with the operational time during the stationary phase, but the microbial communities along the flow altered obviously. The Acidogenic Phase mainly contained fermentative acidogenic bacteria, such as Escherichia sp., at the same time, Anaerolinea sp., Megasphaera sp., etc, which formed an ecologic dominance in the methanogenic phase. Archaea in 5# came to apparently niche separation.The 90 clones of Eubacterium belonged to 6 phylums. Among 75 clones of archaea, 95% of which is MB, including 53% Methanobacterium. Using Sequencher 5.0 to contrast the 165 clones, 54 different OTUs were received, which contained 37 eubacterium OTUs, 17 archaea OTUs.The 5# was the function cubicle of HPA during stationary operation of ABR. With the increase of influence COD concentration from the 328mg/L to 4000 mg/L gradually, the microbial communities in HPA's function cubicle showed clearly dynamics biological process. In the period of low load, the microbial communities diversity was low, and the dominant microbial communities were Rhodobacter and Methanobacterium. When the system was steady, it had formed dominant communities which was constituted by Anaerolinea sp., together with Bifidobacterium sp.,etc, and the relation of them were obvious mutualism.17 OTUs were got from the 60 clones of eubacterium belonged to 5 phylums, ten of which were HPA communities that can turn the VFAs into H2/CO2 and acetic acid. 16 OTUs were obtained from the 65 clones of archaea and 62.5 percent of which belonged to Methanobacterium.When the length of nucleic acid segments was about 200 bp, 12 percent for...
