Under the influence of the thought of the western antiscience, antidogmatism and antiauthority, the feminists try to develop a kind of new paradigm of science criticism without depending on the traditional philosophy foundation, namely criticizing the mainstream science based on sex. They think that there exists sex bias in practical science, and there also implies sex oppresses in science epistemology and methodology. They attribute this sex differences in science to the result of the culture function of the patriarchy, then they advance a social sex theory to overthrow the traditional interpretation of the sex differences in science. With the continuously extending of the feminist's horizon and the range of their research, they change their direction from the criticism of the androcentric to the criticism of the European-centered theory. The feminists think that the development of European modern science is closely linked with the expansion of European colonization. All sciences, including modern western science, should be a"local"one in one sense. For the sake of the feminist's benefits, and the cancellation of the male prejudice in scientific knowledge, the feminists construct their own knowledge theories and ideal feminist science on the basis of criticism on mainstream science. It undergoes a series of process from descriptive science to standard science, from the level of sociology to the level of epistemology, showing the feminist's desire of pursuing ideal science. As a branch of modern science criticism, the feminists have developed a new research field and horizon on"science——sex"from a special angle, so they have made a valuable contribution not only to the philosophy but also to the social research of science. However, they have met an inevitable contradiction in their science criticism and construction.
