Zinc oxide (ZnO) is an important member in the II-VI group semiconductors with wide direct bandgap energy of 3.37 eV. The large exciton binding energy (60 meV, GaN:25 meV, ZnSe:22 meV) of ZnO crystal can ensure efficient excitonic emission of ultraviolet (UV) luminescence at or above room temperature. Since room-temperature free excition absorption and luminescence have been observed in ZnO thin films in 1997, ZnO become one of the major focuses in the research field of semiconductor short-wavelength devices.Furthermore, ZnO is a unique material that exhibits semiconducting and piezoelectric dual properties. Structurally, due to the three types of fastest growth directions <0001> ( ±[0001] ), <01(1|ˉ)0> ( ±[01(1|ˉ)0] , ±[10(1|ˉ)0] , ±[1(1|ˉ)00] ), and<2(1|ˉ)(1|ˉ)0>(±[2(1|ˉ)(1|ˉ)0], [(1|ˉ)2(1|ˉ)0], ±[(1|ˉ)(1|ˉ)20]), as well as the ±(0001) polar surfaces, various kinds of ZnO nanostructures have been realized, such as nanodots, nanorods, nanowires, nanobelts, nanotubes, nanobridges and nanonails, nanohelixes, seamless nanorings and polyhedral cages. These unique nanostructures unambiguously demonstrate that ZnO probably has the richest family of nanostructures among all materials, both in structures and in properties. The ZnO nanostructures could have great potential applications in optoelectronics, sensors, transducers and biomedical sciences such as light-emitting diodes, photodiodes, nanolasers, dye-sensitized solar cells, varistors, photocatalysis, and gas sensors. Now, searching new structures, properties and applications of nano-sized ZnO has become one of the mostly important fields in materials science.In this paper, we present the preparation method of nano-sized ZnO materials by using high-shear mulser, research the response condition of preparation and morphology control of nano-sized zinc oxide with the high-shear mulser, Change the experimental condition (for example, reaction temperature, reaction time, the PH value, rotating speed and agitation way of the mulser), and observe the nano sizes and...
