There are numerous block rivers, but the icidence causing by earth slide, eboulement and debris flow, are the primary types, which occur globally, without an exception and universally in china, especially in the western mountain area. Moreover, the lower reaches of the rivers will suffer from destructive strike by flood disaster resulting from above three disaster. Studying on the possess of eboulement, debris and other secondary disaster paly a significant role in controlling the geological disaster, to reduce natural disasters and accelerate sustainable development of the environment. Here, we focused on the overall statistics of the eboulement and debris flow in our country and analysed total of 338 block rivers, detailedly studied its characteristic of distribution and development. The distributing disciplinarian of the block river causing by eboulement and debris flow is similar to the disciplinarian of disaster. It distributes mostly in the northwest and southeast border district of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It exists the transitional region of the first step and the second step, especially and east longitude 95 — 110 degrees. It extensively distributes in the high mountain gorge areas of 21 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, such as Sichuan , Yunnan , Gansu , Chongqing , Hubei , Tibet. The block river causing by earth slide and eboulement is...
