And new method of the 3-D sensing and the measurement come out never-endingly. There are a lot of traditional methods of exacting phase in the optical 3-D measurement. And the Fourier Transform Profilometry is the one of the ordinary methods, however, it has no the ability of analysis local. In order to overcome this limitation, the windowed Fourier transform analysis method and wavelet transform analysis method are introduced in the 3-D shape measurement. In the windowed Fourier transform analysis, the size of windows is changeless, they either satisfy with the lower frequency or higher frequency. Recently years, with the development and growing up of wavelet transform theory and technology, the wavelet transform is introduced to the 3-D measurement. Basing on the merits and problems of the Fourier Transform Profilometry and the shortage of the windowed Fourier transform, this paper proposed the method of extracting the phase base on the wavelet transform.This article emphasizes on wavelet analysis in 3-D shape measurement.
