Bufo gargarizans is an important experiment animal for teaching and scientific research. With immunohistochemical and fluorescent histochemical methods, the gun hormone and sex hormone receptor were respectively located and identified in the digestive tract and gonad of Bufo gargarizans.Identification, distribution and morphology of endocrine cells in the digestive tract of Bufo gargarizans were studied with six gut hormone and three sex hormone receptor. The results indicated that 5-HT-IR cells, SS-IR cells and PP-IR cells all distributed in whole digestive tract, and the distribution densitys were the highest of stomachus cardia. Gas-IR cells were distributed in digestive tract, expect of esophagus and stomachus pylorus. the distribution densitys were also the highest of stomachus cardia. SP-IR cells and Ins-IR cells were not detected. ER-IR cells were distributed in whole digestive tract, the distribution density was the highest of rectum. PR-IR cells were merely distributed in ileum and rectum, the distribution density was also the highest of rectum. AR-IR cells were not detected. We presume that estrogen and progesterone of function in digestive tract are corresponsive gut hormones, they act on epithelium and gland cell of digestive tract, participate in and adjust gastrointestinal function.Localization was investigated at different stages of the follicles of Bufo gargarizans using three sex hormone receptor and six gun hormone. The results indicated that three sex hormone receptor and two gun hormone receptor existed in follicular of different developmental stages. Estrogen receptor is expressed strongly in follicle cells and weakly in the cytoplasm and nuclear membrane of oocytes at vitellogenic and postvitellogenic stages; Progestogen receptor is expressed weakly in follicle cells and cytoplasm, nuclear membrane of oocytes at vitellogenic stage, but at postvitellogenic stage the immunopositive reaction in these cells strengthened, showing medium positive reaction; Androgen receptor showed weakly positive reaction in follicle cells and cytoplasm, nuclear membrane of oocytes at vitellogenic stage, the immunopositive reaction strengthened a little in cytoplasm, nuclear membrane of oocyte at postvitellogenic.
