Structure finite element model updating technology based on the frequency response function is one of the most important directions in current structure dynamics research. Structural theory/experimental modeling and related analysis, dynamic reduction, structure finite element model updating based on the frequency response function, quadric exploit based on Patran are studied in this dissertation about the key point of structure finite element model updating.The content related to the model updating theory is elaborated in this paper as follows: Correction method, degree of freedom matching, model correlation analysis, sensitivity analysis and updating method validity checking.The structure finite element model updating algorithm directly based on the frequency response function which is widely concerned ever since the 90's is investigated. The selection of number of points of frequency response function take part in the revision process and the influence on the algorithm updating convergence characteristic and the model updating precision by damping etc are studied. Structure finite element model updating algorithm based on the frequency response function by simulation computation and the full scale test is also researched. The updated theoretical model agrees well with the experimental model, which can satisfy the actual engineering application request.The connection quadric exploit is a quite active application domain of present structure computation model updating technology research. Because of the excessive computation in the process of finite element model Updating, support of the mature commercial pre-processing and post-processing software is needed, so that the users can apply the algorithms to practical engineering. Thus, the interface routine of the model updating program and the current finite element analysis softwares is very necessary. In this dissertation, Patran is used as the pre-processing software, the interface routine of the finite element updating program and the current engineering finite element softwares is programed using PCL language, and the finite element model updating is thus accomplished. This research is an extremely economical and feasible method.
