Ferroelectric films have been applied to many electronic and optical devices, utilizing their excellent dielectric, piezoelectric and optical properties. They have been prepared by various methods, such as sputtering, pulsed laser deposition, CVD and Sol-Gel. Among them, the sol-gel method is well suited for the preparation of thin layer ceramics because it offers precise control over the composition on the molecular level, as well as a low processing temperature. The main peculiarity of the (Pb,Sr)TiO3 (PST) films is that they have Curie temperature below room temperature level. Therefore, it is possible to expect that PST films will show the properties of paraelectric materials with a high dielectric constant. This fact makes PST films a very perspective material for tunable devices application. Many experimental works on preparing PST thin films by the sol-gel method have been reported. However, the optimum conditions for the preparation of the PST films have not been thoroughly examined because there are numerous factors to be determined in a sol-gel processing. Meanwhile, the multilayered PST films with enhanced dielectric properties have not been reported.
