There are many methods to solve the one kind of ion reactions for the problem of groundwater. Finite volume element method which is a discretization technique for partial differential equations, is a kind of efficient method. Finite volume element method based on the integral conservation law of partial differential equations (the balance equation). Different trial function space and test function space are used to finally obtain the numerical schemes. Since their constructions are similar to those of some finite difference methods and their convergence can be analyzed in the framework of finite element methods, they are viewed as a bridge between finite element methods and finite different methods. In this paper, we use the finite volume element method to solve the problem. Piecewise quadratic trial functions and piecewise constant test functions are used to finally obtain the error estimates in L~2 norms and H~1 norms of the numerical schemes. The first part of this thesis is to solve the problem in one-dimensional. The second part of this thesis is to solve the problem in two-dimensional, also numerical results show that this method is efficient.
