There are central thermoreceptor and peripheral thermoreceptor in nervous system. The thermoreceptor includes cold-receptor and heat-receptor, which mediate cold and heat temperature sensations in humans respectively. Lots of researchs about the temperature sence and body temperature modulate in central nervous system have been reported. The studies focused on small dorsal root ganglia (DRG) neurons and C, Aβ and Aδ sensory fibers, due to the thermoreceptor which distributing on the skin is too small to study in details. Under voltage-clamp, the ion channel mechanism of thermoreceptor is similar in central and peripheral nervous system, but the firing patterns of thermoreceptor and the temperature-sensitive (TS) of mediun and large DRG neurons remain poorly defined.Peripheral nerve injury induced by mechanical trauma, ischemia or local inflammation can lead to pathological pain symptoms, including hyperalgesia, allodynia and spontaneous pain. The data of our laboratory showed that DRG neurons especially the medium neurons present...
