| Guizhong depression is a large scale late Paleozoic ocean facies deposit depression that formed by the Guangxi movement basically in the steady craton of late Paleozoic to Mesozoic . The facies tract of This depression growth up completely along with the depression. It can provide many types and many sets of combinations of oil-generating strata, oil reservoir and cover rock . And there are many kinds of structural traps, which can provide good oil geology conditions to form big or medium oil reservoir. There are abundant of oil and gas reveal from the outcrop to down hole. The oil and gas exploration foreground is optimism. Based on the in-depth and systematically analysis on the existing geology materials,oil and gas exploration materials ,mainly studied the structure,the author researched the structural evolvement,structural trellis,structural character and the relation between structural andthe oil and gas in Guizhong depression .Started with the research of four regional faults, the author analyzed systematically analyzed the faults which controlled the structural framework of the whole area. The author discussed their activities and basin-controlling behavior in different stages, faults zones' expression forms, and the activity mechanism of different sections and different stages. Started with the surface and underground geological conditions, the author researched the surface and the underground structural characters and contrasted the surface and underground structural characters. Big scale structures developed well in Devonian strata which is in the deep area, and formed the approximately south and north ,east and west zones. The structural evolution of the fault zone controlled the basin's subsidence, buried and denudation evolution, thermal and hydrocarbon maturity history in Guizhong depression. It's structure deformation controlled the structural trap style.The evolution of the basin controlled the form and the evolution stages of the oil reservoir..
