The Study On Female Jaw Bone Characters With Three Different Facial Growth Pattern In Chong Qing

By comparing radiographic cephalometric values with individual normal occlusion of female groups in Chong Qing, this study was carried out to find differences of craniofacial structure with different facial types and establish the tendency in mandibular growth development with the same facial type during female puberty; Through the multifactor cluster analysis in female samples, we made three classified standars of different facial growth patterns in Chong Qing. The present findings may aid orthodontists to make rational diagnosis and treatment planning. In this study, 160 cephalometric films which met the internalzing criteria were selected as samples. In them,80 are in early puberty,80 are in late puberty. The cephalograms were traced by Winceph 8.0 software, and 3 measurements were obtained to classify facial growth pattern, 21 measurements were used to performe statistical comparison and analysis.
