The development of science and technology, such as the space technology, information technology and technique manufacture, demands that the control theory can deal with more and more complex control systems and offer effective control strategy. However, because of complexity of the general complex control systems, such as uncertainty of controlled object model, strong nonlinearity, interconnection of subsystems, complex information pattern, gigantic data size and so on, there does not exist any universal control design method . Therefore it may be an effective way to first study special structure of such systems, for example similar structure systems, then the general systems. Just based on this idea, the robust decentralized control for a class of large-scale composite nonlinear systems with multilayer structure is discussed in this dissertation.This paper discusses some researches on robust stabilization problems for a class of composite control systems with the multilayer similar structures based on Lyapunov stability theory method. The main work is summarized as follows:First, a class of composite control systems with the multilayer similar structures is described in detail. And we also studied how to determine the similarity of two layer systems and the algorithm of similar parameters.Second, the state feedback decentralized stabilization for the composite control systems with the multilayer similar structures is studied. Under the unmatched condition, the robust controller is designed.Third, the output feedback decentralized stabilization for a class of composite control systems with the multilayer similar structures is discussed. In general, it is difficult to design a robust output feedback controller because only partial information can be available. However, through the discussion in this chapter, it is noted that similar structures can simplify the robust output feedback design.Finally, some problems in the researches for composite systems with similarity are explained.
