East-Asia element is an important component in insect fauna of China. Up till now, most of the Chinese entomologists have accepted this judgment. The viewpoint that East Asia Region is the origination center of some animal taxa has been confirmed. The entomogeography of the family Anthocoridae sensu lato of Hemiptera and the family Cimbicidae of Hymenoptera from China are probed using methods of classical faunal analysis and of distribution pattern analysis. There are 20 genera and 93 species of Anthocoridae and 14 genera and 77 species of Cimbicidae in China. The databases of the geographic and ecological distribution data of the genera and species of the two families are set up. Using the GIS (ViewGIS 3.0) software the distribution patterns of the two families are analyzed.Based on the method of classical faunal analysis, the result shows that the Oriental element in the Chinese Anthocoridae sensu lato is relatively predominant. In the family there are 33 Oriental species, about 35.48% of all, 24 Oriental-Palaearctic species, about 25.81% of all, and 23 Palaearctic species, about 24.73% of all. In the family Cimbicidae of China, there are 32 Palaearctic species, about 41.56% of all, 26 Oriental species, about 33.77% of all, and 15 Oriental-Palaearctic species, about 19.48% of all.Using the method of distribution pattern analysis, the result shows that 52 species of Chinese Anthocoridae sensu lato are of East Asia pattern (55.91% of Chinese species). As to the family Cimbicidae, about 9 genera and 55 species (71.43% of Chinese species) are of East Asia pattern. So it is reasonable to deduce that the Chinese Cimbicidae is mainly an East Asia taxon.Species of Chinese flower bugs in Sichuan and Yunnan are the most plentiful, and relatively fewer species are found in Qinghai and Xizang regions. Southwestern China has the largest diversity of flower bugs in China with 44 species distributing there (47.31% of Chinese species). Meanwhile, species of Chinese Cimbicidae are dominant in Sichuan with 32 species distributing there (41.56% of Chinese species).
