Cubic NaZn13-type compounds La(FexM1-x)13 (M=A1, Si) were promising candidate for magnetic refrigerant due to their low cost, friendly environment and large magnetocaloric effect. Magnetic properties, magnetocaloric effect, itinerant-electron metamagnetic (IEM) transition properties, and the effect of different annealed time on the ingots of compounds La1-zCez(Fe1-yCo)y))(13-x)Six were investigated systematically by substituting other atoms for the rare earth and Fe sites. The main results were as follows:Magnetic properties, magnetocaloric effect, and the effect of different annealed time on the ingots of compounds La0.8Ce0.2(Fe1-xCox)10.5Si205 (x=0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06) were studied. The substitution of Ce for La in La0.8Ce0.2(Fe1-xCox)10.5Si2.5 shorten the annealed time obviously. The crystal lattice aberration and more vacancies were produced after the substitution of Ce for La in these compounds. This would be propitious to the diffuse of vacancy mechanism, and accordingly the chemical...
