In this dissertation, aiming at the the wavelet analysis, the utmost international subject, the author who researched general arithmetic of wavelet transform and combined the questions of detecting oil & gas in seismic techniques fulfills specific recognition arithmetic of wavelet packets-gray about oil & gas.Firstly, the thesis introduces the basic theory and arithmetic of wavelet analysis, multi-resolution analysis and wavelet packets analysis. Secondly, aiming at the given seismic dada, we select different wavelet basic function and extract some character parameters of wavelet packets. Following that, using the distant rules, we determine the classic wavelet basis and at the same time select the best energy character parameters which are used to recognize oil & gas. Finally, we do modeling about the known attributes of oil & gas and fulfill the reservoir single scan line of some oil filed H2 and its appraising and forecasting. These conclusions get good comments of some experts.The thesis develops the arithmetic of energy character parameters of every channel and empolder the software of wavelet packers oil & gas prediction. In addition, we create two other methods: the arithmetic of the selection of wavelet basis function based on seismic sub-wavelet and gray correlation analysis; the arithmetic which can select the best wavelet packers basis. The research presents a new thought and method for reservoir appraising and forecasting.At the same time, in order to express the result of practical oil & gas detection directly, the paper also affords the transverse prediction picture of typical section and the distributing map of oil & gas H2. These can be used to guide well array and the next detection of oil & gas.
