The palaeo-environment and palaeo-climate of the earth has already become hotspots and foreland of subjects, such as global geology and environmental science, etc. And the study work has much more concentrated on the palaeo-climate of the times since Quaternary, while little concern has been showed to the dead time. This research focuses on the Mesozoic palaeo-environment and palaeo-climate of Peripheral Basins of the Dabie Orogen, according to the mineral component, rock types, sedimentary facies, sedimentary systems, filling sequences, fossils and the geochemistry data. The results are listed as follows:1. Based on comparatively systemically collecting the past data, the research combines the various indicators of palaeo-climate, and edits a guidebook of it. This not only lays foundation for this research, but also does contribution for the palaeo-climate research;2. According to thoroughly analyzing the strata data of these basins, the research make sure the character and evolvement of Mesozoic palaeo-environment and palaeo-climate in peripheral basins of the Dabie Orogen such as Huangchuan, Hefei, the north margin, Chaohu, Anqing-Qianshan, Susong, Daye and Jianghan, and draw the diagrams;3. Appling the geochemistry data to the palaeo-climate analysis, the research obtains some results, but some indicators having suspicious conclusion. So, need a further study;4. According to the palaeo-environment and palaeo-climate characters of the peripheral basins and the tectonic evolvement of the Dabie Orogen, it is found that there is coupling relation between the evolvement of the palaeo-environment and palaeo-climate and the rise of the Dabie Orogen.
