This century is the key period of life sciences, and bioinformatics is one of core domains of nature sciences in this century. The content of bioinformatics is enrichment, at the present time, some fields have got great progress, but many problems remain to be solved. This thesis concerns the methods of graphical representation of bio-sequences and phylogenetic analyses. The graphical representation of bio-sequences is an important task in bioinformatics. There are many kinds of methods in graphical representation. Here we only introduce some typical 2D, 3D graphical representations. The traditional purpose of phylogenetic analyses is to indicate the evolvement of species, and the new use of it is to cast back the evolvement of the given gene. And phylogenetic analyses can also make contributions on understanding the evolvement of genome. The following work is to introduce the knowledge of phylogenetic analyses and propose a new method to construct phylogenetic tree. Then we draw a new phylogenetic tree and make some comparison and analysis. The main contents of this thesis are listed as follows:In Chapter 1, we introduce some basic knowledge of bioinformatics. Most of the terms and concepts used in this thesis are explained briefly here.In Chapter 2, we introduce some 2D, 3D graphical representations of bio-sequences and make some comments on these methods. In Chapter 3, we introduce the knowledge of phylogenetic analyses and propose a new method to construct phylogenetic tree. Then, based on the 20 mtDNA sequences, we draw a new phylogenetic tree and make some comparison and analysis. In Chapter 4, we make some concluding remarks.
