By use of the most complete monthly precipitation data from Yemen,Some characteristics of anuual rainfall anomalies are analysised in last 14years. On the base of the work, Spatial and temporal variability of summerprecipitation and its corresponding general circulation anomalies are studied. So is the effect of north pacific SSTA on summer rainfall. The mainconclusions are followed: (1) Annual and summer precipitation take on anincreasing tendency for 14 last years. And An abrupt changing occursrespectively in the end of last century. (2) Most rainfall centers in summer, especially from July to September. Besides, precipitation anomalies withmaximum ahead happen most easily in summer. (3) There are interannualvariabilities with 2-3 years period emerge in annual and summer rainfall. Moreover, the later exits 7years periodic changing. (4) Using REOF method,Yemen is divided into four summer precipitation anomaly regions withsingular temporal variability. (5) There are close relations between summerrainfall in Yemen and India monsoon trough, west Europe coastal trough, trough east to Ural and North hemisphere general circulation anomaly inyesteryear. (6) There is an apparent negative correlation between summerprecipitation in Yemen and SSTA averaged from December of former year toMarch of same year in North Pacific where "Key regions" (37°N-47°N,160°E-150°W) with higher correlation lies. The southwest and the northeastYemen and "Key regions" are significant regions in couple.
