Digital Doting Image Correlation method (DDIC) is the production of the modern digital image processing technology and photo mechanics. It is based on the Digital Speckle Image Correlation (DSCM) method which is a optical measurement whose usage is more narrower than the former. The paper is found on the domestic and foreign research results, in order to search the influence to the precise and the speed of calculating over the shape and the size of the Doting of the method. The paper successfully applies the method to measurement of spine biomechanics and to the measurement of the residual stress between the coating material's coating layer and the ion interpolation's interpolation layer to each foundation. In the paper, some improvements and innovations are performed that the influence to the measurement precision with the Doting-shape and Doting-size founded the digital doting image correlation measurement method. The conclusion was drawn that the more irregular the shape of the Doting is, the higher the precision of the calculating, through the stretch experiment of the polymethyl methacrylate with the four kinds of Doting shapes and different sizes of each, such as Cross, Dot, Square, Star and etc. and through the program to calculate which used the Two-rank Tailor multinomial introduced to subset displacement mode, and adopted B-spline interpolation to rebuild the subpixels, and applied BFGS method to correlation iterative. And another conclusion also be reached that it is neither better that the size of the Doting is larger, nor it is better that the size is smaller, and the size is best to moderate. The generous calculation will be increased if the size too big and the discrimination will be decreased on the contrary. In the paper, the method also applied to the research of the mechanical behavior of the cattle spine under load, some vertebras of the spine under the condition that the original status and the single fixed status and the di-fixed status. Using the DDIC program, a serial of results was obtained of the displacement and strain and rotate angle under the status. Analyzing the results, it is found that significations the results manifest corresponding to many medical symptoms and the therapy to them. The actual of the method and the accuracy of the method of using to the fields is in evidence from it. Finally, in the paper, the Doting was applied to reposition of the specimen early or later in the experiment, which is the research of the coating material's coating layer and the ion interpolation's interpolation layer influent with each foundation, and it decrease the error of the relative locations before or after, and using the method to analyze the residual stress, and get the approximate distributions to the specimens of residual stress, which provide a strong proof to the method successfully using to the field. A t the same time, is testify the digital doting image correlation measurement method can be applied to the material residual stress's research, and provide an effective method in the field of deformation measure and research of mechanics behavior.
