The Research On Seamless Mosaic Approach Of Stereo Orthophoto

The seamless stereo orthophoto is a new application field and it can seamlessly reproduce the three-dimensional information of terrain surface when photographing. Therefore, the seamless stereo orthophoto has more application value and wider application prospect compared with pure orthophoto, and it also supplies a more economical and efficient method for terrain visualization. In order to develop a system to conveniently produce large-scale seamless stereo orhophoto and reproduce real 3D landscape model of the terrain surface, this paper does some deep research on seamless mosaic approach of stereo orthophoto. The main works are as follows:1. Present a stereo model mosaic approach to overcome the data organization method based on strip.2. Present a quick mosaic algorithm to improve the mosaic efficiency.3. As to the color balance of single image, analysis the cause of the uneven illumination phenomenon and the images' characters, and present a method to remove the uneven illumination phenomenon for the digital aerial images.4. As to color balance problem between images during large-scale image mosaic, analysis all factors causing the color difference and the shortcomings of present methods, and then present a method based on Wallis filter which pay attention on both overall and local information of image.
