The ground subsidence and crack seriously affect cities' construction, and economic sustainable development of a regions, thus have become one of the main geological disaster. Therefore, in many regions and cities, Governments and their charged departments have taken a lot of money and people in the research and monitoring, and is accumulated much data. But how to use of the data to analyze the spatial distribution characteristic of the ground subsidence and crack to accurately predict the development trend, provide more scientific information for the government in policy making has become a first task of the researches.In recent years, Geographic Information System (GIS) with its strong functions has been widely used in many fields, especially in spatial analysis which has provided a powerful means for city planning and research in both qualitative and quantitative analysis. This research makes spatial analysis and the relationship between ground crack and subsidence based on the before research result and GIS technology by the data of Xi'an City.According to the ground subsidence and crack in Xi'an City;The thesis makes a describe and analysis the related factors by the soil mechanics principles, also using GIS technology to data processes such as data editing, transforming, building database and information analysis. At the last part make summarizes for the research results and the shortcomings, and put forward some suggestions for the further research..
