The variations of environmental dynamic factor such as Sea Surface Temperature (SST), air temperature, wind in the East China Sea (ECS) and the Yellow Sea (YS) are studied in this article. Based on the 7 year period satellite remote sensing data detected by the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission Microwave Imager (TRMM/TMI), the seasonal variability of SST is addressed briefly in the ECS and the YS, as well as the existing of intra-seasonal variability of SST is verified by using the method wavelet analysis. The spatial and temporal intra-seasonal variations of SST are presented by using Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF) analysis. The result shows that the intra-seasonal variability of SST is much significant in the northern ECS, the offing of the ECS and the YS, and it is influenced by solar radiation, topography, current, atmospheric intra-seasonal oscillation.Correlations between TRMM/TMI SST and NCEP/NCAR 850hpa air temperature intra-seasonal anomalies are calculated for the 7 year period 1998-2004 by using singular value decomposition (SVD) method in the ECS and YS, which reveals rather significant correlations in the tendency of between SST variation and air temperature variation. The coefficient between SST and 850hpa air temperature is 0.29.Correlations between TRMM/TMI SST and NCEP/NCAR 850hpa zonal wind intra-seasonal anomalies are analyzed for the 7 year period 1998-2004 by using singular value decomposition (SVD) method in the ECS and YS, which reveals rather consanguineous correlations in the tendency of between SST variation and zonal wind variation. The coefficient between SST and zonal wind intra-seasonal anomalies is 0.26.This study is very important to further explore the key physical process inharmful algal blooms progression in China seas.
