The study area located in Xuanhan county of Sichuan province is mountainousregion and Humid climate. The lithological character mainly is the sandstone andmudstone. The geological structure is located the northwest of Yangzi platform. Thehumanity activity is obvious. There're lithological character and near spatial surfaceconditions. Therefore, it's necessary to estimate the landslide hazard risk.The estimation of landslide hazard risk in study area mainly is based on thetechnique of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS). Theresearch content and procedures are as follows:(1) Based on remote sensing source data (IKONOS satellite multi-wave bandsimages, 1m resolution), the thesis studies a series of digital image processingtechnology (image fusion, color processing, image rectify), and the technology ofgaining information affecting landslide hazard.(2) Creating DEM from the coutour map. Produces the three dimensional picture,carries on a more detailed understanding to the research area.(3) Proposed four kinds of conditions influence landslide hazard: the geologicalfunction condition, the river erosion function condition, the terrain influence condition,as well as the humanity activity condition.(4) Uses the AHP method, and determines the weights of factors influencinglandslide hazard.(5) Has studied ArcObject technology, and developed map weightsuperimposition module by VC+AO.(6) Has obtained the important several influence factors in the research area, anddelimited the landslide hazard risk region.
